Research & Training is required
whereby scientists/faculty members work together
closely in the development and dissemination of
adoptable technologies. The focus of SGI for R&D
activities will be “Think globally/Nationally
but plan and execute locally” to promote ecologically,
sustainable economy and employment.
Our sustainable innovative research
activities will open the doors to new business
models and new markets. Hence location specific
R&D activities will be initiated. Research
and training activities are always an integral
part in institutions of higher learning for quality
education delivery. Therefore employability gap
to be identified close association of placement
cell to formulate the student research projects.
Presently projects are generally taken from internet
whose solutions are also available. This puts
a very little incentive on the part of both the
project guides as well as the students to innovate
and create something for business development.
Therefore there is need for creating a centralized
project monitoring under R&D cell by involving
placement cell and stake holders. Placement cell
can seek live project definition from industry
and can allot the same for various departments.
Such interaction and cooperation would go a long
way in consolidating the relationship of SGI colleges
for placement.
